It
is my pleasure to bring to you School
Leadership Coaching.
The
journey to start this company began
nearly 20 years ago when I became a
classroom teacher. I loved teaching
and committed myself to learning all
I could about my students and how they
learn. A highlight of my teaching career
came when I sat for and achieved National
Board Certification. When I left the
classroom to become a clinical supervisor,
I took from my National Board experience
the belief that all educators must benefit
from quality professional development
if students are to succeed.
Working with pre-service
teachers sparked my passion for planning
and leading learning opportunities
for adults. From there, I went on
to be a teacher leader, professor
of reading, and an education consultant.
To expand my knowledge and experiential
base, I decided to focus my doctoral
research on teacher leadership. Threaded
through my vast experiences in education
is my passion for teaching including
my ability to make learning relevant,
practical, and successful for children
and adults alike.
Now as a leadership
coach, I have the good fortune to
be part of something truly great.
I founded School Leadership Coaching
to assist all educators in enhancing
their leadership performance. I find
it especially rewarding to work with
classroom teachers who are interested
in developing their leadership potential.
Informal leadership is not for the
faint of heart. It requires a steadfast
commitment to personal growth and
organizational transformation. It
also requires quality professional
development.
